About this project
Alienware Academy is an eSports training site that utilizes instructional videos and in-game training applications to help gamers improve their skills. The training videos were created by professional gamers and used a proprietary video player which kept track of users' progress that completed lesson tracks. In-game training applications used customized maps and lessons put together by professional gamers with game developers utilizing Tobii eye tracking software to assess and critique gamers' skills then try to improve them.
My duties included managing the timelines and budgets for the website portion on the project, managing developers integrating it into the Alienware Arena website and coordination with Tobii software as they provided content plus eye tracking software integration. I also had to bridge the technological gap between developers and marketing personnel to make sure everyone was on the same page and the correct product was being delivered. This project also exposed my inability to ever be good at CS:GO.
